It has to be said that Clifford Cockflint's life is far from ordinary. The dullness of life never comes close, as he obliviously stumbles from bizarre predicaments, taking it all on the chin. His long-suffering, but always loving and understanding, wife Christine stays by him regardless of the situations Clifford gets into. Just when you think Clifford and Christine's lives can't get any more complicated, their largely dysfunctional next-door neighbours constantly disrupt them. How on earth are The Jewish Couple Rufus and Lydia still together? Rufus always inadvertently makes Lydia feel like rubbish. Lydia never stops crying. And what about Simon and Sarah, The Catholic Pair? Not even God can help these two! Unbeknown to each other, Christine secretly counsels them. Whilst Clifford repeatedly gets lost. Even their trustworthy friend, Mr Fickwick, appears to have severe hyperactivity disorder and he's a librarian. The only normal one is Chris and he has Asperger's Syndrome.
