Born in Springfield, Illinois, Khrys is the embodiment of determination spirit and perseverance. In 1990, she began writing feature articles for “Mid-West Muscle Magazine,” a bodybuilding publication located in Baraboo, Wisconsin. In 1995, while pursuing her writing, she turned professional in the sport of natural bodybuilding through the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation. Longing to pursue her passion for writing Khrys studied at the Institute of Children’s Literature, and received a diploma for Children’s Magazine Writing in June of 2009. Khrys released her debut book, “Her Blossoming Soul: A Spiritual Introspection: A Collection of Poetry and Prose” in 2010. Khrys is currently working on several book projects, one of which is a book for children. She is a member of the Illinois State Poetry Society and the American Academy of Poets. She resides in Illinois with her daughter and her Yorkie, Poo Champs.
