Autobiography: LaDene Hayes-Wiggins resides in High Point, NC, after serving six years in the United States Marine Corps and receiving two Honorable Discharges. Author Hayes attended college, receiving a degree in General Business; Associates in Medical Transcription with a minor in office machines; and Associates in Automotive Technology with a major in Diagnostics and a minor in oil changes and tuneups.Because she had asthma growing up and could not play with her siblings, Author Hayes knew early in life that she liked to write and discovered she liked reading as well. She accumulated several writings that included poetry.Author Hayes discovered Rikki Tikki Tavi when she was nine years old, and when the story ended, she wondered, 'What happened to the last egg?' For 49 years, she searched books and titles and everything she could think of until the most common sense solution was to simply continue where the original left off and find out for herself what happened to the last egg. So, she did. That is how 'The Continuing Saga of Rikki Tikki Tavi' was created. Author Hayes participates in the local library programs for authors and their books. Author Hayes was interviewed by WITN, Greenville, NC TV station, and on The Reese Gardner TV Show in Kinston, NC. She was also a speaker on The Morning Show on a Winston-Salem, NC, radio station, introducing her book.Author Hayes’ favorite scriptures are Matthew 7:7 and Philippians 4:13. She is a Hebrew Israelite and has attended 7th Day Harvest under the leadership of Pastors Anthony and Patricia Douglas for over three years now. The first book was released in 2001.
