.The Code in the Conduit is Book 1 of a source narrative series told from the floor of a multi-billion-dollar industrial construction project. Journeyman IBEW wireman Brandon S. Goe spent a year watching good crews produce bad outcomes because authority and accountability had come apart. He stopped blaming bad luck and bad people, and started naming the structure. The book runs three parts and twenty chapters, plus the Stewardship of Bitterness closer. Part I follows the card, the code, and the road. It grounds the reader in what the trade is before it puts the reader on the corporate workfront. Part II documents the machine at work: metric distortion, safety weaponization, the walkdowns that police deference, the shadow command that operates behind the visible chain, the retaliation pattern the workforce absorbs. Part III is the naming: the receiving apparatus that could not receive what the workforce was trying to hand it, and the framework Goe built to give the workforce a diagnostic tool the credential machine has held back. The book closes with an appendix, The Framework in Brief, laid out plain so a working foreman can read it on a lunch break and test it against his own workfront the next morning. The findings sit against federal labor statistics showing American construction productivity is lower today than in 1968.Brandon S. Goe is a journeyman IBEW wireman and senior noncommissioned officer in the U.S. Army Reserve. The Code in the Conduit is his first book, published through Command Analysis Group.
