They must survive the beautiful horror of Madame Glimmer, the Avatar of Denial who preserves frozen corpses in a perpetual 'Gala' to escape reality. They fight Void-Walkers and a Sound-Eraser that deletes sound and kinetic energy, forcing them to learn to fight in absolute silence.Finally reaching the core, Kaelen dives into the Dragon’s Subconscious, reliving the horrific Redaction of Onyx’s White Dragon mate, Lumina. Varrick stole her name, leaving Onyx with infinite grief but no memory-a madness Kaelen must heal. Kaelen must defeat his own inner demons-The Coward, The Unbroken, The Tyrant, The Greedy, The Machine-the physical manifestations of their worst selves.
