Volume two of the Children’s Treasure Book contains Lewis Carroll’s classic tale of Alice in Wonderland. Here the story is decorated throughout with Harry Rountree’s charming black and white line drawings and Chas Pears’s beautiful coloured plates. Pook Press celebrates the great Golden Age of Illustration in children’s literature. Many of the earliest children’s books, particularly those dating back to the 1850s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive.
