Philip Wylie was a popular and historically important author, particularly revered by science fiction and comic book fans, due to the influence several of his novels had on pop culture. He was also a well-informed and insightful observer, not to mention noted iconoclast, writing penetrating fiction and non-fiction, mysteries and poetry, and especially satire and social commentary.The stories in this volume were written and published in newspapers early in Wylie’s career. They’ve never been available in book form or any other form since their original appearance. In fact, they seem to be unknown to even the most knowledgeable Philip Wylie fans and scholars.
