Life in a small Southern town can be melancholy if you are female, old, and unmarried. What can you do about it? To make their crusade more difficult, they must compete with four archrivals for the limited supply of suitable bachelors in their hometown of Thomasville, Georgia. Their competitors are not only unmarried, they are also nasty, conniving, and hinder the Casserole Ladies’ pursuit of marital bliss. Non-stop zany amorous misadventures lead to the story’s climax. A bet to end all bets results in our five ladies running for their honor on national television at the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. After they go down in a blaze of glory to the men in blue, they experience an epiphany about love, men, and friendship in a surprising place. 3
