The author was inspired by the Bible to write The Carpenter Ants. Through the Bible, especially the Book of Joel, God ministered to Ademola. Its use of insects-such as cankerworms, palmworms and caterpillars-and animals-such as eagles, vultures, elephants, lions, hyenas and others-helped to inspire him to study animal behavior and use this knowledge to write poetry, prose and God messages. The Carpenter Ants is a collection of poetry, prose and proverbs; the literary style is distinctive and thoroughly accessible to any reader’s attention throughout.
