'Why?' whispered Daniel quietly, shifting his weight.'Because we don’t want others to know we are coming,' answered Dad. 'And if you continue to move, you’ll give away our positions.''Jesus, please give me your peace,' Daniel quietly prayed. He knew his mouth would get him in trouble. 'Please help me to be quiet.'Earlier, Daniel and Kenya had been playing in the woods when they found the cabin. Ten year old Daniel, dared his sister, eight-year-old Kenya to enter the cabin. She took the dare and let herself in; right after that, the owner returned and found Kenya. A native of Uganda, East Africa, Doris Lwanga combines dance, music, mime and theatre to present a collection of African folktales, myths and fables. Born and raised in Uganda, Doris has spent the latter years of her life in America where she has learnt a big arsenal of American traditional music which she now incorporates into her shows. When she was about 14 years of age, she was given an award for being one of the very few women who played African traditional instruments, mostly the Endongo instrument which she played at a school festival. When she was 20 years old as a choreographer, her piece won first place, at a festival in Kenya, East Africa and at the same festival she won first place as a composer! In Senior 3 or third grade, Doris was playing drums during a Uganda School Music Festival at the National Theatre. One of the sticks flew out of her hands but she discovered that she could continue playing the drums with one stick! For the past few years, Doris has been working as an Early Childhood Music Teacher. She is now ready to step into the role of performer and writer.
