Understanding the choices we make and why we make them can be key in learning about ourselves. If children could be guided to understand the 'stories' we tell ourselves are not always true. Then be further guided to question those stories before they lead us down an unpleasant path, they would live under greater possibilities. Understanding choices and their impact would give us new insight to other perspectives and limit our judgments of others. Each story has various possible journeys, allowing the reader to see how choices can affect 'our story.' Believing that there are no 'mistakes,' many times the ending will be the same; it is just the journey, the experience, that we choose to make different. Using real-life situations that youth may find themselves in, helps to identify and lay a foundation of possibilities to draw from.
