It was the worst present Jodie had ever received in her whole life. What was her Auntie May thinking? She had always given her the best gifts before. Why for her 12th birthday, had she decided to give her something so hideous now? Was she the butt of some cruel joke? How could her aunt be so mean? She had to dispose of this thing. But upon doing so, a little voice had told her that she would regret it as she dropped it out of her 2nd story bedroom window, landing on the garbage can below. But she didn't care. She was too full of anger and disappointment. But once her aunt admits that the real gift was within the sweater's pockets she realizes that the little voice was right. She did regret it. She had to get the sweater back. She must find out what is in those pockets! But trying to find and retrieve this ridiculous gift proved to be a very difficult task. It was no longer laying dilapidated on the garbage can. For four days her quest to find it in the hot summer sun, turned out to be exhausting and frustrating. With each sighting of the sweater, it would soon vanish again and again. As if the sweater itself was retaliating for being thrown away in the first place. If she didn't find it soon, the real gift within would be lost forever! But did it really matter? Jodie was soon to find out and to discover what a true gift actually is.
