Let brotherly love continues. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body. Let godly marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled. Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have.Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of David, as preached in St. Paul gospel, whom by a single offering has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. As it is, he as appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.I appeal to you, bear with my word of exhortation, for I have written to you briefly. Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, nor grief, for that would be of no advantage to you.Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever.
