Asha the dove finds herself chosen by God to go with Noah on a journey in his great ark when the world experiences the greatest flood of all time. She feels both excitement at the sight of all of the animals marching in line to enter the ark, and a great fear. An earlier incident with the people of the village leaves Asha afraid of mankind, and lacking confidence in herself. Yet with the encouragement of Aaron the lion, she knows she is there for an important reason. When Noah chooses her to fly from the ark to find proof of land, she finds the courage to complete the task, despite her self doubt. God chooses Asha, an ordinary dove with a damaged wing to bring hope to the people and the other animals on the ark. The Ark and the Dove is based on Genesis Chapters 6-9 in the Bible. The first in a series of stories from the Bible told from the animals’ point of view, these stories will bring a fresh and fun perspective to these enduring lessons, and begin a life long love of the Bible.
