The Aftermath, is the sequel to Sanctioned, published in 2023.Sanctioned told of Peter Wagoner, orphaned during an allied bombing raid over Dresden. Renamed Lonnie Siegel, he was adopted as a post-war four-year-old by first-generation American immigrants. Driven by his insatiable need to avenge their murders, and with the help of foreign clandestine operatives, he rose to become an internationally recognized champion fighter. With the loss of the only family he knew, Lonnie was left with no reason to remain in America, deciding instead to resettle in Germany to reclaim his vast inheritance. But more than the wealth he was bequeathed, he desperately needed peace-the peace that only solitude can provide. However, those that assisted him in the past, as well as those that were intent on celebrating the fame that accompanied his success, would not allow it.Haunted by the constant memory of his parents’ murders at the hands of white supremacists, living in Germany was difficult. Navigating his new life while being recruited to help defeat a terrorist gang targeting the Middle East complicated what should have been the life of a simple man.
