Over the years, I’ve been asked to compile the key evidences showing the correlations between Kamitan (Ancient Egyptian) culture and that of India. The history of Ancient Egypt and recent archaeological findings about its civilization have fascinated many scholars and mystics. Speculation exists regarding the migration of Ancient Egyptian priests to Greece, India, and beyond, carrying their mystical traditions. In my 1995 book, Egyptian Yoga: The Philosophy of Enlightenment, I first examined these connections. Now, in The African Origins of Civilization, Mystical Religion, and Yoga Philosophy, I delve deeper into the motifs and philosophical links between Ancient Egyptian and Indian mysticism, demonstrating their cultural and spiritual connections. This knowledge is significant for spiritual aspirants. It reveals that India’s heritage is richer than previously thought, showing that the mysteries of Ancient Egypt evolved into modern yoga practices. This book illustrates that African culture developed Yoga Mysticism earlier than any other civilization. Thus, Yoga represents the oldest known tradition of spiritual development, with Indian mysticism extending from Ancient Egyptian teachings. Understanding this legacy enhances our comprehension of both Ancient Egyptian and Indian mysticism, proving the underlying kinship of humanity through common symbols and philosophies.Have you pondered the connections between ancient civilizations? The African Origins of Civilization, Religion, Yoga Mysticism, and Ethics Philosophy by Dr. Muata Abhaya Ashby provides an enlightening journey into ancient Egyptian spirituality and its influence on global religions and philosophies. This meticulously researched work uncovers the roots of yoga mysticism and ethical philosophy that have shaped human thought for millennia.Dr. Ashby, a renowned scholar and spiritual preceptor, bridges the gap between ancient Egypt and India, revealing shared motifs and symbols. The book explores the ancient Egyptian yoga tradition that predates and influences modern yoga practices. This exploration offers insights into the unity of human culture and the enduring legacy of yoga.Key themes include the African origins of civilization, spiritual and philosophical connections between ancient Egypt and India, and ancient Egyptian religion’s impact on world religions like Christianity, Hinduism, and Buddhism. The text discusses esoteric teachings, the Book of the Dead, Osiris enlightenment, and the mystery teachings of deities, enriched with references to Hermetic philosophy, sacred geometry, and meditation. The intended audience encompasses scholars, students, and enthusiasts of ancient civilizations, comparative religion, and yoga philosophy. It’s accessible to those with no prior expertise while offering deep insights for seasoned scholars. Dr. Ashby combines rigorous research with a spiritual perspective, supported by archaeological and scriptural evidence.Practical applications include a deeper understanding of yoga and meditation origins, as well as insights for integrating ancient wisdom into modern practices. In conclusion, The African Origins of Civilization, Religion, Yoga Mysticism, and Ethics Philosophy is a groundbreaking exploration of ancient Egyptian spirituality and its lasting influence. Dr. Ashby’s accessible writing style ensures readers are informed and inspired, making this a must-read for anyone seeking to grasp the connections between ancient civilizations and their spiritual legacies. Embark on this enlightening journey to uncover the wisdom of the ancients.
