The Adventures of Patti and Barci: The City of Cats is the first chapter of a trilogy. This book is the opening act of many stories inspired by the author’s formative years in Cuba, her perspective on life, and day-to-day challenges from the point of view of her beloved Chihuahua. Every chapter is a new episode in the life of this spoiled Chihuahua that finds herself a competitor for her human’s attention. Little did Patti know that the stray cat, Barci, would help her grow into a better dog. Stories of love, friendship, breakups, and reconciliations fill the pages of this book, showing readers the many ways of life in different parts of the world. Full of heart-warming moments and Cuban humor, The Adventures of Patti and Barci is a new readers’ chapter book that children from six to ninety-nine years old can enjoy.
