There are footnotes that give more insight into actual height, speed or behaviour of the animals but they may take away from the flow of the story. Let the little one take the lead in questions. Footnotes are there as a helpful guide. For some fake suspense, we are introduced to a monster that ends up not being a monster at all. But then the real monster shows up. 3
