This is the first book in a series about Jack and Dobbie, two Chihuahuas, who became 'brothers' by adoption. The series begins at the point where Dobbie, who was previously abused, is adopted through a local animal rescue group as a playmate for Jack. The events are true and most of the pictures were drawn from actual photographs. The book is intended to be read as a pleasant bedtime story of about eight minutes in length, or a book that beginning readers can enjoy by themselves. It is a story about love in the lives of two little dogs, and the joy that comes from adopting a pet.
