Kenny’s life was filled with adventure. As a young boy growing up in the Colorado mountains, there were always places to explore, animals to encounter, criminals to catch, mountains to climb, railroads to follow, volcanoes to research and things to build. His curiosity and imagination lead him into exciting situations that were dangerous, interesting and often humorous. Kenny didn’t need television, video games or planned activities to keep him occupied. His dog, Tippy, provided most of his companionship and sometimes made the adventures even more exciting. Kenny is always the age of the reader/listener, and relates to all ages as his world becomes their world. Although most of the stories are embellished to make them more interesting, every story contains elements of truth that Kenny experienced in real life. Travel with Kenny through this book of short stories and allow your imagination to create the Deep, Dark Woods, the mountain and the shack in the forest. Run with Kenny as he hops aboard the train or tries to escape the kidnappers. Ride with him and his friend, Larry, as they zoom down the hill on their homemade 'hootenanny'. Float the river on his homemade kayak and hold your breath as he rescues Tippy from the icy water. These ten stories are just the beginning of all the adventures of Little Kenny. The adventures that do not have a firm conclusion must be dealt with in future books. There is a tree-house to build, gold to find, the creature in the Deep Dark Woods to identify and who is the beautiful blonde girl that occasionally crosses Kenny’s path? The volcano is intriguing; the hootenanny needs improving, and what about Slim Jim and Fat Pat?The excitement continues.
