The Advent of a New HopeFor those who are battling with life’s storm or on the verge of losing hope, this book is written to motivate and inspire you to ignite your praying powers. Fear not for you are not given the spirit of fear. In adversity, even Christians forget God’s promises that He will never leave nor forsake you. From the diary and perspective of a widow, find out how Dr. Lilian I. Asomugha discloses her close walk with her maker, using her experience to inspire others.Through faithful prayers, believing and trusting in God, she was able to turn her adversity into advantage and her obstacles became her challenging opportunities to succeed in her quest. Her experiences and those of others that she encountered go beyond doubt to prove that prayer works and that in every adversity, God plants seeds of equal or greater benefit - for those who believe.Born and raised in Eastern Nigeria by her Christian parents, she came to the United States of America in the 1970’s. She studied pharmacy in the University of Texas at Austin; and also received her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the college of Naturopathy in Warsaw Indiana. Following the sudden death of her husband in 1994, the emptiness and hopelessness of adversity prompted her determination to be the best single parent for her children and to reach out to the afflicted. Her passion to share the goodness of God in times of adversity is her strength. As an entrepreneur-owner of New Hope Pharmacy, Inc., Dr. Lilian I. Asomugha is also a motivational writer/speaker, and a dynamic widow and mother of four children. She has founded and co-founded several non-profit support groups including the OWIN (Orphans and Widows In Need) Foundation, Inc., that caters for poor orphans and widows in Africa. We’ve been duped into removing prayer from the center of our churches and have placed it on the periphery or semi-periphery.  What we’re witnessing today in our churches, and in society at large, is that legacy of prayerlessness.  Church leadership may be hesitant and embarrassed to admit it, but there is a direct correlation between our spiritual weakness and our lack of corpo...

If God is good, why do we get sick? When God created the world, He declared: "It is good." But then came the Fall, and with it sickness and death. In this heart-tugging monograph, Dr. Davis McGuirt draws from both his training in theology and the personal agony of watching his father die from cancer to provide a variety of biblical reasons for why we get sick. We are also remin...
