O objetivo deste estudo é investigar o poder da análise técnica para prever a tendência do mercado e o preço futuro no mercado FOREX. Para alcançar este resultado, o estudo analisa os quatro pares de moedas mais negociados no mercado FOREX durante o mês de novembro de 2013 e utiliza várias ferramentas e indicadores que são apresentados pelas empresas de corretagem no Meta Trader 4. O estudo afirma o poder da análise técnica no mercado FOREX. O resultado mostra que 58,33% das posições inteiras são terminadas com lucro; 32% no horário, 15% e 11% no diário e no meio-dia, respetivamente. O estudo também confirmou que o GBP/USD é o par de moedas mais fiável entre os outros no período em que o estudo foi realizado.
