This is a collection of poems in which the landscapes reflect and affect who we are. They are the places from which we came, the history of our struggle and the seat of hopes and dreams. These poems are about identification with the natural world-some entirely and some as a backdrop to events. Although not all are necessarily autobiographical -being constructed artefacts- they represent that attempt to capture a moment or its subjective impression. I hope, in their reading, you do this with out the initial application of critical thought, as the true nature of poetry requires, and get a sense or feeling of a place or the mood. If so, then I’ve succeeded in part. They were written on the North-east coast of England, UK form Seaham & Sunderland to South Shields.
