Este livro tem como objetivo esclarecer alguns textos bíblicos que estão sendo interpretados de forma diferente nas igrejas neopentecostais nos dias atuais. A Teologia da Prosperidade ensina que por meio dos dízimos e das ofertas os cristãos têm o direito de ficarem ricos. Desta maneira, este livro dirigiu o estudo com os seguintes questionamentos: É possível que os textos realmente ensinem que há possibilidade de crescer financeiramente pela prática dos dízimos e das ofertas? O que ensinam realmente? É possível falar de crescimento financeiro enfatizando esses textos? Visando entender o real significado destes textos, este livro será estruturado em três capítulos: no primeiro capítulo, será feito um panorama da origem da Teologia da Prosperidade; no segundo capítulo, será feito um panorama da Teologia da Prosperidade no Brasil; por fim, no capítulo três, será analisado o significado da palavra prosperidade a partir dos textos bíblicos do Antigo e Novo Testamento. 10
