The author’s third collection is an attempt to re-connect poetry with its ancient role of telling stories, using characters taken from History, mythology and legend and poetry’s thrust and thread as its means to raise the quick from the dead. Backbone to the enterprise are memorable visits to Washington in America, Berlin and Bavaria in Germany where many ghosts are found waiting to be stirred and soon the whole enterprise takes on a landscape of its own where tumbled together are various haunting figures all with tales to tell, many with dark secrets all their own, some very dark, interlinking into the features of a phantasmagoria.
