Every feeling deserves room, and every child deserves to be heard.Tell Somebody Colouring and Activity Book 4: My Feelings Have a Voice brings together five gentle stories, colouring pages, drawing activities and family conversations for children aged 3 to 10, shared with a grown up.Meet Jun, Mei and their older brother Kai, supported by their mother Lin and teacher Miss Chen. Through everyday moments, this British Chinese family discovers that feelings can be mixed, asking for space is allowed, and getting help does not require a loud voice or perfect words. The five stories explore:• The Smile and the Sigh: Jun discovers that he can feel cross and sad at the same time, and does not have to smile to deserve kindness.• A Little Room for Mei: Mei asks for a quieter moment, with a caring adult staying alongside her.• A Note Can Start It: Kai finds another way to begin a difficult conversation when speaking feels hard.• Jun Asks Again: When the first adult does not help, Jun finds someone who listens and takes action.• A Friend Beside Me: Mei offers company while a grown up takes responsibility for helping with a worry. Each story includes a scene to colour, space to create, a question with an example answer and a helpful phrase to practise. Children aged 3 and 4 can join in through pointing, scribbling, listening and toy play. Older children can explore the questions and choices in greater depth. No child has to share a personal experience. The book also includes questions for children and adults to ask each other, a family listening promise, a helping people plan, guidance for parents, carers and educators, UK support contacts and information about finding help internationally.Throughout the book, children are reassured that their feelings matter, their way of communicating matters, and they deserve support even if someone did not listen the first time. Adults are reminded to listen without blame, respect different communication needs and follow through with practical help.Written by Melony Axe, informed by the author’s lived experience, professional insight and commitment to helping children feel heard, supported and safe.
