Tedrow was alone in the barn, which for several generations, had been his family home in the French countryside. He was lonesome and, he missed Emmalena, his one great love. They had planned a life together until she moved away.Setting on a little table was a small silver box which held his family history. He wondered how long it would take to get there and what dangers he would have to face. Then he wondered if he should even try to make the journey. Then he thought about Emmalena. Maybe he could find her somewhere along the way. One sunny morning he strapped a bedroll on his back and put the rope to the silver box over his head and, braving the unknown, left the barn forever, never looking back. 3
