El Teatro ha sido el objeto de estudio, investigación, docencia, creación, crítica y reflexión de Josep Lluís Sirera (Valencia, 1954-2015). Teatro hispánico y su puesta en escena reúne trabajos académicos de colegas y discípulos que han tenido la suerte de compartir y disfrutar de su saber y amistad. Este volumen de estudios teatrales quiere ser un sentido homenaje al profesor Josep Lluís Sirera, gran estudioso, profesional y apasionado del Teatro, que ha ejercido su maestría sobre varias generaciones de investigadores. Su compromiso, trayectoria y dedicación, a lo largo de casi cuarenta años, son ejemplo perfecto de la entidad y proyección del profesor universitario y de sus tres ámbitos científico profesionales: la docencia, la investigación y la gestión que, en el caso de Josep Lluís, estaban presididos por una gran y constante vocación.
