La ricerca qui presentata ha lo scopo di analizzare, attraverso il metodo comparativo, due attività ricreative e di propaganda sviluppate dagli operai e dai militanti anarchici nella città di Rio de Janeiro all’inizio del XX secolo: il Teatro Anarchista e il Calcio Solidale. Sia il teatro che il calcio sono considerati potenziali strumenti per ampliare la nostra comprensione della società di quel periodo e, in particolare, della classe operaia che si stava formando. Attraverso questa ricerca miriamo a comprendere le molteplici dimensioni di queste esperienze, le tensioni, le contraddizioni e le dispute ideologiche nell’ambito del tempo libero.
