Every Muslim should have a complete understanding of his religion. The most important source of religious awareness and faith education of the people is the Holy Quran. Sermons, speeches, statements, reform books are all useful in their own place, but none of them can replace the Quran. Ibn Masood was a companion of the Prophet Muhammed, PBUH who was praised for his understanding of the Holy Quran by the Prophet himself. This book does not explain each and every ayah of the holy book, but a few selected ones that were explained by Ibn Masood RAA. This compilation consists of three parts originally written in Arabic by Mohammad Ahmed Eiswi, translated in Urdu by Maulana Shamsuddin and collected and compiled by Aijaz Ubaid./ہر مسلمان کو اپنے دین کی پوری سمجھ بوجھ ہونی چاہیے۔ عوام کی دینی آگہی اور ایمانی تربیت کا سب سے اہم ذریعہ قرآن مجید ہے۔ وعظ، تقریریں، بیانات، اصلاحی کتابیں سب اپنی جگہ مفید ہیں لیکن ان میں سے کوئی چیز قرآن کا بدل نہیں ہو سکتی ہے۔ حضرت عبد اللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ پیغمبر اسلام حضرت محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے جلیل القدر اصحاب میں شامل رہے ہیں اور انہیں اسلام قبول کرنے والے اولین اصحابِ رسولؐ کے طور پر جانا جاتا ہے۔ پیغمبرِ اسلام نے جن چار صحابیوں سے قرآن سیکھنے کی ہدایت کی تھی ان میں عبد اللہ بن مسعود بھی شامل ہیں۔ آپ قرآن مجید کی تفسیر اور مناسب موقعوں پر برجستہ آیاتِ قرآنی کی تلاوت میں خاص مہارت رکھتے تھے۔ آپ کی تفسیریں حدیث و تفسیر کی کتابوں میں بکثرت منقول ہیں۔ اس کتاب میں قرآن کریم کی منتخب آیات کی تفسیر بروایت عبداللہ بن مسعود جمع کی گئی ہے اور یہ تفسیر ابن مسعود جملہ تین حصوں پر مشتمل ہے۔
