La località climatica idrominerale di Bueno Brandão si trova all’estremo sud dello Stato di Minas Gerais, vicino al confine con lo Stato di San Paolo, nella Serra da Mantiqueira. La città è nota per la bellezza naturale delle sue numerose cascate, 33 delle quali sono state catalogate dal Comune, ma si stima che in totale siano più di 60. Per questo motivo si è diffuso il termine 'La città delle cascate'. Bueno Brandão presenta un enorme potenziale turistico, poiché oltre alle cascate, possiede una vasta area ricca di attrazioni naturali e culturali, come vette e belvedere, locande, chalet, distillerie e gastronomia tipica dello stato di Minas Gerais. Tuttavia, quando si parla della posizione di queste attrazioni, si è riscontrata una grande carenza, poiché la maggior parte del materiale disponibile è costituito da mappe stampate, puramente illustrative. Pertanto, il presente lavoro ha avuto come obiettivo lo sviluppo di un SIG Web per facilitare l’accesso e la localizzazione delle attrazioni del comune di Bueno Brandão - MG.
