Susy, La Reina de las Hormigas es un libro ilustrado para niños. La historia trata sobre la princesa Susy, quien se adentra en una aventura para salvar a su colonia de una sequía. La reina dispone que prepararen a su hija, la Princesa Susy, para que aprenda el funcionamiento de la colonia, incluyendo las leyes, las reglas, y funciones de cada departamento. Manda llamar a su jefa de obreras de mayor confianza para que se haga cargo de su formación. Y así comienzan las aventuras de Susy para cumplir su destino. Rosa Sandoval escribio esta historia mientras estudiaba el mundo de las hormigas. Se dio cuenta de la importancia de estos maravillosos animalitos, que ayudan en los diferentes ecosistemas de la naturaleza. Tienen una estructura social y forma de vivir increíble; las hormigas polinizan, transportan semillas y mueven la tierra bajo la superficie formando canales subterráneos en todo el planeta. Esta información la comparte en forma de cuento, dedicado especialmente a todos los niños del mundo. El libro fue ilustrado por Natalia Paredes.
