Supply chain management deals with the flow of goods and services. It includes movement and storage of all types of goods whether raw, semi-finished or finished goods. This is a multidisciplinary field and it integrates principles from systems engineering, industrial engineering, logistics, procurement, information systems, etc. Organizations need to strengthen their supply chains effectively in order to increase their market share and competitive position.
