È stato compiuto uno sforzo per esaminare le proprietà elettrochimiche della soluzione di rame (II) in assenza e in presenza di un amminoacido, la L-istidina. Per lo studio del comportamento redox della soluzione di rame (II) è stato utilizzato un voltametro ciclico. I voltametri ciclici sono stati registrati variando diversi parametri come la velocità di scansione e i rapporti molari. Con questa tecnica è stata effettuata anche la valutazione del comportamento interfacciale.
