The following short stories are stand-alone tales but are part of a larger saga about living in and around the Yellowstone National Park. One hundred thousand years ago, the characters struggled against the top predators of the late Pleistocene. The skills needed to survive such a hostile environment were considerable. Interestingly, the extreme conditions found in the ancient past are very similar to those found today. Eva, the main character grew from a young, deformed child into a powerful woman. Throughout, she defied all odds to become the unchallenged leader of her people and the mother of future generations that populate the known galaxies. The young woman who is the Namesake of the Eva of this Saga, was sent early versions of the stories and commented throughout their evolution. She is a most capable and imaginative young person and enthusiastically read the final draft. Her impressions are published below: 'Reading your book is truly a rollercoaster, you start the book and are immediately intrigued by her interesting personality and you start wondering how she will solve the problems that she faces and then you are stunned by the various feelings that are perfectly described in the book, really bringing the character to life. Eva is a truly interesting character that ties into the incredible book. Eva Hodgerson' Oct 31, 2022
