Every child needs writing skills in today's world! Story Octopus is a fun character with a fun way of learning about a very important activity in all our lives, writing. We write for fun, school, our jobs, and even socially with today's tecnology. This book and "Story" was the creative idea for an elementary school Career Days. It's purpose was to aid the speaker, a local author, in her desire to instill a love for writing in the children. Story uses his two legs and six arms to teach writing skills and adds questions to motivate the readers imagination. The end of the book has pages included where the child can actually write his own thoughts for each category to start their own story. Aso included is a variety of illustrations of artwork from the author's own six year old granddaughter to actual photographs superimposed with Story Octopus. Different kinds of resources are used to get young minds turning in our technology filled world!
