'Stories Not for Children' takes three well-known fairy tales and twists and skews them into adult conspiracy theories and tales. The underlying stories of ’Little Red Riding Hood’, ’Sleeping Beauty’, and ’The Three Brothers and the Golden Apple’ are barely recognizable once author Godrak is done with them. The tales are spinned like you’ve never imagined. Stories that are definitely NOT for children.In ’Little Red Riding Hood’, for example, Godrak paints a humorous visual when he indicates that she had to go to visit her grandma, her father’s mother, who didn’t live with the family because, 'the mother-in-law’s condition was getting worse and worse and no therapy could make it better.' Hilarious take on an old classic family dynamic. The story also tells us that ’The Three Little Pigs’ were filthy rich as a result of racketeering and plundering. A security Agency works with the Wolf, the Hunter and the Little red riding hood. The plot, the denouement and the final are more than unexpected. Final battle in a cunning ninja style. Sarcastic sacrilege!In the tale of ’Sleeping Beauty’, Godrak explores how on earth someone could have possibly slept for 100 years. He posits that since the dawn of time some people with scientific minds see things better than others and contemplate things as opposed to picking their noses or developing their muscles. He somehow ties together ’Sleeping Beauty’, ’the Pillars of Earth’, ’Blue Beard’, and what is to be later known as ’the Tunguska Meteorite’. This is the result of a confrontation between two old galactic lineages. A galactic war is coming. It is inevitable! And all this unimaginable collision will be resolved by an unexpected wedding. Of course battles are granted. Space spectacle.The last twisted story involves magicians,one dragon and the naughty things they do that can wreak havoc on us. For example Hercules takes a minor part in it and you would never think of him like you did before. Homer participates too in a very unusual way. A space pirate is involved here against his will but he will be crucial for the story. He would find how to defeat the Stymphalian birds.And it is only the beginning of more old and supposedly 'well known' stories for children. The author is just warming up.
