Il presente libro discute le ragioni responsabili della trasformazione/adattamento del calcio su campo in calcio svizzero nel comune di Marechal Cândido Rondon, nel periodo dal 1980 al 1995. Prendendo come oggetto di studio il gruppo dei lavoratori/agricoltori rurali trasformati in lavoratori urbani e quelli rimasti in campagna, è stato condotto uno studio storico, attraverso fonti orali, confrontando il calcio su campo e il calcio svizzero, valorizzando la tradizione e la socialità. Il calcio, inteso come usanza, ha permesso di formulare importanti considerazioni legate alle dinamiche del gruppo studiato.
