Star Crossed

Evelyn Hart would give anything for one more night with her wife. She just never expected the universe to give it back.At eighty years old, Evelyn knows better than to believe in hope. Her wife, Jules, has been gone for nine years, and Evelyn has kept their home exactly as she left it. Her chair. Her mug. Every reminder of the life they shared. Then a birthday outing with her caregiver, Mary, leads Evelyn into the Arcane Room, a strange little tarot shop with a habit of finding the wishes people are afraid to make.Evelyn draws The Star, a card of hope, healing, and renewal. She doesn’t believe in any of it.The Star believes in her anyway. One sip of enchanted tea sends Evelyn back to the night of her senior prom, into the eighteen-year-old body she once knew. Her parents are alive. Her whole life stretches ahead of her.And standing in the living room in a red dress is Jules.Young. Healthy. Beautiful.Hers again. For one impossible night, Evelyn and Jules are given the love story time once denied them. The photographs they never took. The dance they never shared. The chance to hold each other without illness, grief, or goodbye waiting at the end of the night. But The Star didn’t bring Evelyn back to the past so she could stay there. It brought her back to remember what Jules had been trying to teach her all along: the end of a life doesn’t have to be the end of a love, and loving someone forever doesn’t mean you have to stop living without them.Star Crossed is a heartfelt sapphic romantasy about lifelong love, grief, second chances, tarot magic, and finding hope after the person who was your whole world is gone.Welcome to Tarot Fantasies, where one card can grant your deepest wish, but every wish comes with a truth.
