La squelettisation mathématique est une technique qui consiste à extraire le squelette d’une forme 2D ou 3D. Plusieurs techniques sont utilisées, cependant elles se différencient par leur efficacité, leur précision et la rapidité d’extraction. Dans ce livre, nous présentons aux lecteurs une de nos techniques qui est basée sur la bissection d’angles sous contrainte pour répondre à la définition initiale du squelette mathématique basé sur le maximum de boules et de disques. Notre méthode est optimale car elle est limitée à un nombre très limité de points extrémaux de la forme. De plus, dans ce livre, le lecteur rencontrera des applications très intéressantes de la squelettisation telles que l’optimisation temporelle du temps de traitement du cancer et l’optimisation des processus d’irrigation intelligente.
