Essay aus dem Jahr 2004 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Note: 2, Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, Veranstaltung: Seminar: TPS Schreibstrategien gegen das Verstummen - Die Sprachkrise um 1900, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: „Die Grenzen meiner Sprache bedeuten die Grenzen meiner Welt' sagte einst Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889 - 1951). Inwieweit diese Behauptung besonderes auf Schriftsteller zutrifft, wird in dieser Arbeit näher untersucht. Dabei geht es weniger um das Zutreffen des genauen Wortlautes dieser Aussage, als darum, zu veranschaulichen, wie sehr die Sprache den Schriftsteller bestimmt. Die Sprache ist ein Grundbaustein der Existenz aller Menschen und doch wissen nur wenige ihre Bedeutung wirklich zu schätzen. Autoren hingegen setzten sich meist ganz explizit mit der Sprache auseinander und so entstand bereits vor Jahrhunderten die sogenannte Sprachkritik. Interessant an diesem Thema ist vor allem, inwieweit sich diese Kritik an der Sprache zwischen 1900 und 2000 entwickelt hat.
