I want to help children understand that pets are a huge undertaking, not much different from them, and that a commitment to a pet is very important and special. I would like to encourage children to have a pet, but to realize that pets can be work as well as fun. If a pet is treated with love, respect, and care, the love and devotion in return is incredible. A pet can be a joy for many years, but also requires much time and attention.This kitten was not far from death when my son brought her home. With much love and devotion to this little creature, we were able to save her life. In return we had many years of enjoyment and pleasure from her playful behaviour.
