Summary This article focuses on sports services from an economic point of view. Since there is neither a theory of sports services nor a theory of sports economics, the particular features of sports servi ces will be discussed in a first step. Integration and uncertainty are constitutive characteristics of sports services and justify the relevance of risk and contract management.
