Questo studio affronta il problema della legittimità della sovranità all’interno del sistema giuridico istituzionale internazionale. Un problema associato alla struttura concettuale della sovranità nel sistema. Lavorando con Foucault, conduco una microanalisi delle relazioni di forza intorno alle trasformazioni istituzionali come effetti del potere. Esamino la funzione del discorso come meccanismo di reclutamento e mobilitazione popolare nel conflitto. Lo scopo di questa analisi storica comparativa è quello di individuare i punti di tensione identificando l’antagonismo impiegato nei discorsi di resistenza. Al centro di essa c’è il caso del problema della legittimità della sovranità in Libano. Mi chiedo come il potere della resistenza porti di conseguenza a un cambiamento radicale delle regole istituzionali normative di riconoscimento della legittimità della sovranità. Questo studio è stato la ricerca primaria per un documentario sul conflitto civile libanese. 'Her Journey in the Cave: My Memory of the Past Part I' è stato presentato in anteprima alla Lebanese American University, nel gennaio 2014, nell’ambito dell’evento 'Imagining Tomorrow'.
