For centuries Calvinism has divided the Christian community. Sovereign Choice seriously challenges the tenets of Calvinism and presents a whole new approach to viewing God, this fallen world and how we ourselves choose our eternal destiny. Calvinism defines sovereignty as God being in complete and absolute control of all things making true free will impossible. Sovereign Choice sees sovereignty as God being the supreme power who chooses to grant free will to whomever He desires. Free will is a gift from God motivated by His love. The Bible clearly states that 'God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life.' (John 3:16) Sovereign Choice encourages all Christians to end this senseless debate over a flawed philosophy and return to the simplicity of the Gospel message. Let us stop debating and start proclaiming 'that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved!' Author Timothy E. White has served as the pastor of the First Baptist Church in Fairfield, Ohio for over twenty-five years. He and his wife, Mary have been married for thirty-seven years and have three married daughters; Melody (Jeff) Schurgast, Amy (Brian) Davis, and Beth (Adam) Jacob. They have three beautiful granddaughters, a soon to be born grandson and another grandchild due in March of 2014. Tim graduated from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN majoring in Physics in May of 1977. He went on to receive his Master of Divinity from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX in December of 1980. Besides preaching the Word of God, Tim has discovered a new found love in writing. His first book, Free to Love reveals God’s pathway to freedom to not only loving God, but others. His second book, The Portal is a fictional account of how the angel Gabriel might describe the history of mankind from creation to culmination.

What if it were possible for an angel of God to tell his story? Think about it! An angel has witnessed the entire spectrum of human history. The things he could tell us from his vantage point of seeing the entire plan of God unfold before his very eyes would be incredibly revealing. In The Portal, pastor and author, Timothy E. White attempts to tell such a story using the Bible...
