Paul Blackwell quits his mundane job at 27 on vague hopes of something better. But his life is just drifting the night he meets aspiring singing star Cally Viccaro, an event that catapults him at last into a world of romance and excitement that seems to fit his music-driven dreams. Cally too is finally following her dreams. While she progresses through the rounds of global TV talent show phenomenon Pop Dreams, Paul writes a reference work on female singers as he struggles with Cally's increasing fame and elusiveness and a recurring sleep dream that tantalises him with a final destination he cannot quite reach.
