Unknown monsters have destroyed Aiplen and have their eye on the land of Galzias next. When a Galzian village falls victim to mysterious monsters, the Galzian lords convene a meeting of the covenant. The tabled action fails to convince Lord Edward, so he takes matters into his own hands to protect his people. He learns that there is a powerful being controlling the monsters and he needs magic to defeat them. Timid Elven priestess Elaneith hears the heart wrenching tales from the Aiplenese refugees she heals. Only when a man implores her to use her magic to put an end to the threat does their plight hit home. Torn between her conscience and the limits of her healing magic, her goddess gives her a sign to go.Edward and Elaneith set out on their quest with her sworn priest guard, a mischievous dark elf, a proud mercenary and a rash man bent on revenge. To succeed they’ll have to put aside their differences, learn to trust each other to draw on all the strength they have.As Elaneith wrestles with the most complicated spell she’s ever seen, others try to steal one of the spell’s ingredients from them to add fuel to the growing unrest in Galzias. She’s further plagued by nature’s decay, the sign of a starving world, whose screams she feels in her soul. Can they stop the monsters in time and will it be enough to save Galzias?Or are they just scratching the surface?
