Os sonhos nunca foram adequadamente explorados na psicologia académica. Sujeitos a preconceitos de uma comunidade que emprega um tipo restrito de ciência mais voltada para o avanço da carreira do que para o conhecimento, é hora de os personologistas e fenomenologistas inspirados pela pura curiosidade, dados clínicos e experiência pessoal perseguirem os sonhos como detetives perseguiriam um caso arquivado há 137 anos (ou seja, desde que a psicologia foi fundada, em 1879). É hora de acreditar que um PhD desempregado, a quem foi negada uma vaga no campo para o qual se preparava desde os 13 anos, pode oferecer algo mais substancial do que as publicações combinadas que representam mais de 100 anos de psicologia académica. É com esse espírito que apresento este trabalho exploratório. Espero que gostem.
