The Song of the Wolf is the first of nine songs in the Cycle of the Songs series based on characters and events in the novel SongStar: The Legend of Wandering Eagle. This story follows the Native American convention of showing the deep wisdom of nature and its power to embrace us with a sense for a greater relationship with creation and our place in it. Written in the genre of a children’s book to be read in one sitting; a parent can enjoy sharing this song with a child and fire his/her imagination. The story relates the Lord of the Wolves whose name is Sia-koenayae as he leads the lone pack through the night and over the mountains in their quest for life and all that it has to offer.
