Neste livro, é apresentada a melhoria da qualidade da energia eléctrica através da capacidade de LVRT de um parque eólico acionado por PMSG. Atualmente, a quota de energia eólica está a aumentar continuamente em todo o mundo; por conseguinte, a penetração da energia eólica na rede também está a aumentar. A condição de ligação à rede da turbina eólica é mais importante e o efeito de cascata deve ser evitado; a turbina eólica deve permanecer ligada à rede durante as perturbações da rede. A ligação de um parque eólico à rede é uma tarefa difícil e exigente para os operadores do sistema, uma vez que existem muitos requisitos de ligação nos códigos de rede. Um dos requisitos dinâmicos mencionados no código de rede é a capacidade de passagem de baixa tensão. Apresenta também o controlo da potência reactiva para satisfazer os requisitos do código da rede utilizando o STATCOM. Os resultados da simulação mostram a potência real e a potência reactiva com o STATCOM e sem o STATCOM.
